Back from San Francisco : part 1 - worm's eye-views

Indigo Mushikui no.12
aquatint on antique bookpages from Japan, gold leaf, collage
"Indigo Mushikui landscape" aquatint, chine colle

"Night Shimmer no.10" aquatint, chine colle, Japanese pigment

I just came back from the art fair-trip to Los Angeles and San Francisco. These new pieces are exhibited at the Verne Collection booth. Here are some aerial views from the air plain. Somehow they visually relate to my mushikui(wormhole) work.

Journey though Mushikui no.71
aquatint on antique bookpages from Japan, gold leaf, collage
This was my first attempt to use a little bit of gold leaf. Someone told me that metallic medium like gold leaf has green color in it. Maybe that is why gold leaf naturally works well with green color in traditional screen paintings from Japan.

More green elements on the street in San Francisco-Drains with green weeds + rust
